Property assessment for suitability to be included as a housing option by people with a disability applying for funding for SDA Accommodation through the NDIS.
Funding for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) has been introduced under the NDIS Act 2013 for eligible participants:
- Applies to various types of housing (apartment / villa / townhouse / house)
- The type of housing shall be nominated to suit occupants with particular needs
- This assessment may range from meeting the improved livability criteria through to High Physical Support
- The design criteria nominated will determine which level of LHA design the property needs to meet
In summary, this will usually be either Silver or Platinum Level, plus some additional requirements prescribed in the SDA Price guide.
